Band to Join, Vocalist - General, Rhythm Guitar, Lead Guitar, Acoustic Guitar, Bass Guitar, Drums, Other Percussion, Piano, Background Singer, Harmonica, Fiddle, Bagpipes, Steel guitar, Upright bass, Cello.ABOUT
32 year old guitar/bass player here. Looking for something folky, bluesy, tradsy...that type of thing.
Plays: acoustic guitar, electric guitar, acoustic bass, electric bass, fretless bass and vocals. Not all together…obviously!
Into: Folk, Blues, Traditional, Bluegrass, Rhythm and Blues, Roots, Indie, Punk, Rock, Electronic, Rockabilly, First-wave SKA and/or Country
Not into: posers, egos, cash-chasers, hipsters, deluded individuals who are ‘trying to make it’ or anyone who has 11 songs ready to go and is just looking for free session players to play their rubbish.
What I’m looking for: Just give me some decent/half-decent musicians who are serious about creating decent music and are easy going on musical direction. A few pints in the pub now and then, bit of professional recording and gigs aplenty.
I’ve been in about 100 bands since I was 18 and all of them fell apart because of one deluded member who just had tunnel vision – most of the time they thought they were better than they actually where. Music is about freedom of expression and all members of the band need to pull together to create a unique and delicious sound and experience for all. The key to good music lies in experimentation and inclusion. If that sounds like your thing, give me a buzz.
