ABOUT

(Aug 19th 2022) I'm a music producer and singer songwriter looking for musicians to join me on a musical adventure for the next few years. I need good people with professional attitudes and dreams of commercial success, without toxic bullsh*t. I'm looking for women and others as much as I am guys to join me. Bio:
In 2009 I started trying to somehow fit my songwriting and vocal style into my more club-orientated productions but I always managed to fail at getting it just right. I began releasing electronic music under the name Demon Groove, and released 11 EPs with Record Companies including Adapted Records, Tasty Records and Big Alliance Records to name a few. My biggest achievement was charting just outside the top ten on Beatport and staying there for a number of weeks. I got a small cult following in America, and my tracks were played in major clubs all over the world.

In 2015 I decided to take a break from producing for a while and went travelling. I spent two months biking over the Swizz Alps to Milan. I then spent three months on a Thai Island, where I wrote a book. I had a guitar along and in Thailand in between writing chapters I was writing little scraps of songs on Rizzla papers and beermats. This proved to be a transformative experience in terms of songwriting. I was listening to Bob Marley and Al Green on my balcony while watching rainstorms batter the tiny Thai island or sun set after sunset and letting the music flow out of me every night. The songs seemed to be coming from somewhere else; deeper inside me, a place that had been buried under the sh*t from the daily grind.

The island (Koh Chang) had an authentic musical flavour, and there were loads of muso’s living there and passing through. This vibe influenced me. After almost a year away from Dublin, I got back and started writing and gigging.

It's easy as a musician to get caught up in trying to be perfect or impress people when what's important is the humanity you find in life and making it live inside the words, melody and beats. Since 2017 I've been writing songs and I recorded them during the pandemic. In 2021-22 I spent a long time mixing them. I've 30 songs that I think are commercially viable 10-12 of which I would like to take on the road with a band and make the world a little nicer.

I was born to write songs, songwriting has been a big chunk of my being since I was 12; like a musical journey that has many destinations. I define myself when I am lost through songwriting. I find myself again through songwriting. I exercise the demons that haunt me through songwriting. Music has saved me numerous times and hopefully, these songs will save someone else (at least for the short while they're listening).
