ABOUT

We've all been there and we know it will happen in advance: artistic differences (and maybe inflated egos too) kill bands sooner or later. Some of us are dedicated musicians and love playing but don't need that kind of drama or hassle in our lives. Some of us too are at the wrong side of 20 and we know that we will not be mega famous musicians. So how can we get out there and just play because we love playing: music for music's sake: the answer is a co-operative where the members of the band are always rotating just like Post modern jukebox on you tube....that is what I'm interested in. Maybe it will / will not lead to the formation of separate bands (fine if it does) and it may or may not lead to any giggs (maybe just performances recorded for youtube). If giggs do happen then the cast of musicians / singers will rotate. The beauty is that only musicians that agree to get involved in a particular track play and those who don't won't. All styles are accommodated. For most it's a chance to play. For the lucky few it could be a springboard into something bigger and better but whatever it turns out to be it's always just musicians playing because they love to play: music for music's sake and that's therapy...

Influences

Very wide range of musical influences: I like all sorts of music from from Tom Waits & leonard Cohen thru to 70's soul (think Isaac Hayes, Curtis Mayfield etc) through to Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, AC/DC, Iggy, Bowie, The Doors thru to Rage against the machine and Ramstein thru to BIggy, Snoop, Dre WuTang, Lee Scratch Perry. Everyone is on their own buzz in this life but my tuppence worth is that that for me Songs with lyrics that hold a mirror up to reality and cause people to see things in a keeping it real way are the songs that last and remain great for generations (and the genre of music the message is relayed through doesn't matter). Songs with sh*tty lyrics come and go and is background noise no one really cares about. So when you look at my musical influences above you can see that. Have a listen to the lyrics of one of my own compositions listed here and you'll see what I mean (if you have empathy and heart as well as ears)
