Hey I'm Keith and I figured it's about time I get myself back out there and meet some new musicians.
Throughout the years I've played guitar and bass in a number of bands, recorded a couple of melodies here n there and had some laughs along the way. Now I feel it's high time that I find the band that I've been looking for. I've never really found a band that I can be fully proud of n I wanna change that.
I'm looking for a band that strives for greatness - Musicians that will practice together as much as they possibly can, not because they have to, but because they want to. I've had it up to my tits with guys who are unorganised and laid back, I love my music and I want it to sound as good as it possibly can.
I've been playing guitar for over 10 years and lately I've started focusing on tweaking my sounds and improving all the little aspects of my playing. I'll be the first to say that I'm not the most technically efficient guitarist in the world but for me it's not about that. I love a strong melody, a great chord progression and a hook that leaves a chill running down your spine - That's what I aim for.
Coming from a graphic design background, I take image very seriously. Be it band logo or overall look of the band, I feel it's something that divides professionals from Joe Bloggs playing in the corner of a pub. A good image can make a band stand out from the crowd and leave a lasting impression, and if it's paired up with a tight sound then you're on to a winner.

Influences
So here's the thing.. I love loooads of music so I never feel that putting down a list of band names really does my taste any justice. I listen to everything from David Bowie to Daft Punk, Prince to Pantera, you get the picture. Nevertheless here's a bunch of bands that spring to mind off the top of my head:
The Killers, Foo Fighters, The Beatles, Muse, Depeche Mode, U2, Journey, The Black Keys, The Cure, The Dead Weather, Kings of Leon, My Chemical Romance, The Prodigy, The Ramones, Queen, Led Zeppelin, The Hives, The Police, The Doors, Def Leppard, Bon Jovi, etc etc etc.
As you might be able to tell, I'm a fan of 80's music: the good the bad and the cheesy. I love synths and the level of versatility they bring to a band so finding a piano/keyboard player would make me HUGELY happy.
Honestly though, I'd nearly play any kind of music so don't get the impression that I'm restricted to one particular sound or genre. I wanna experiment and maybe stumble across something that's unique and exciting.
