ABOUT

Mila is a multi-genre flautist, pianist, and emerging composer born in Brazil, based in Galway, Ireland. A classically-trained musician from a young age, her roots in the world of classical music serve as the foundation for her artistic exploration, later getting involved and performing instrumental music from different cultures and traditions across Europe and South America.

In the past decade, Mila had been involved in the traditional Irish music scene in Brazil by co-founding the band Oran and the digital magazine O Pint Diário, also being a committee member of Comhaltas Brasil. Since living in Ireland, Mila has worked with artists such as Giovani Di Ganzá, Agustina Taborda, Carl Hession, Treo Ensemble, Galway Choro Ensemble and Sonanta Flamenco-Jazz, performing in venues and festivals such as Clifden Arts Festival, Galway International Arts Festival, Cuture Night Ireland, Festival Millo Verde (Galicia) and Festival Interceltique de Lorient (Brittany).

Mila's solo career features a range of releases, including "Across The Green Ocean," "Frevo de Três Folhas," and the EP "História do Tango," with her latest single being "Way To Fiastra." Beyond her solo work, Mila is a music tutor, a resident pianist at Silent Cinema Galway, a session-recording freelance musician, and
